My name is Sarah Knight, and growing up I helped my father raise Beagle puppies. Through this experience, along with our other family pets, I cultivated my love for animals. Whether it was a Beagle, Cocker Spaniel or a loving Bulldog, we always had a warm companion by our side. This is why we established Knight's Majestic Havanese in 2018 so that we could help bring this joy to others.
Here at Knight's Majestic Havanese in N.E. Missouri we focus on making the transition from our home to yours as smooth and stress-free as possible. As owners of the puppies' parents*, my husband, three children and I make sure that each puppy receives proper exercise, health care, love, and affection! We strive to breed animals of the highest quality, teach their new owners about them, and provide the puppies with all the love and attention they deserve.
*We are hobby breeders, having only one Sire and one Dame. We have one litter every 1-2 years so we are very selective on who our grandpuppies go home with. Please be patient with us during the screening process, we only want what is best for both you and them.

All About Havanese (Toy Breed)
The Havanese breed hail from Cuba which is where it gets it's name from their capital, Havana. It is also their national dog. They were originally bred as lapdogs for royalty and were called Blanquito de la Habana which translates to Havanese Silk Dog. They are thought to originate from the largest Canary Island and arrived in Cuba via a Spanish trade ship.
Havanese make wonderful, friendly companions. They are well balanced, extremely loving family dogs. As puppies they adapt very well to their new family including most of the other pets that may already reside there. They enjoy play time with children as much as children do with them. Havanese also enjoy lap time, and their silky, (bunny-so-soft, fluffy) hair coat makes snuggle-time soooo inviting. They are extremely intelligent and eager to please, which helps out tremendously in the house-breaking/training process. Being a non-shedding breed is just one of the many wonderful qualities of the Havanese breed. Both male and female Havanese make equally good companions.
